Sam Hoehn's roots in New Hampshire go back seven generations. He was born and raised here, and that history shapes how he thinks about the state and its future.
Sam is running for the Coos 1 seat because he believes government works best when it stays out of people's way. He wants to protect individual freedoms and keep taxes low — priorities that matter especially in a rural district where families and small businesses already stretch every dollar.

Lower Taxes
Sam Hoehn will fight to reduce the property tax burden that crushes Coos County homeowners and drives young families out of the North Country. He will oppose any attempt to introduce a sales or income tax in Concord while working to stop unfunded state mandates that push costs down onto municipalities and into your tax bill. Keeping more money in the hands of Coos County residents means more economic activity staying local, not flowing south.
Affordability
Coos County families are feeling the squeeze of rising costs on everything from groceries to housing. Sam will fight to make the North Country more affordable by streamlining burdensome regulations that drive up prices and pushing back against state mandates that raise the cost of living for working families.

Government works best when it stays out of the way. Sam is committed to protecting the individual liberties that define the Granite State — defending personal choice, property rights, and the freedom of families and small businesses to live and work without Concord looking over their shoulder.
Limited, Accountable Government
Committed to fiscal responsibility and a government that answers to the people it serves. Sam will push to rein in wasteful state spending, demand transparency in how tax dollars are used, and make sure the voices of rural Coos County are never drowned out by the priorities of southern New Hampshire.
2nd Amendment
Sam is a strong and unapologetic defender of the Second Amendment. He believes law-abiding citizens have the right to keep and bear arms, and he will oppose any legislation in Concord that seeks to chip away at that right. Hunting, sport shooting, and self-defense are part of life in the North Country, and Sam will always stand up for the rights of gun owners.
Protecting Constitutional Rights
Sam is a firm defender of the constitutional rights that every American is guaranteed — including the Second Amendment. He believes law-abiding citizens have the right to keep and bear arms without government interference, and he will stand against any legislation that erodes those freedoms. From free speech to due process, Sam will fight to ensure that the rights enshrined in our Constitution are protected for every family in Coos County and beyond.
Support Law Enforcement
Sam Hoehn stands firmly behind the men and women in uniform who keep our communities safe. He will fight to ensure law enforcement agencies in Coos County and across New Hampshire have the resources, training, and support they need to do their jobs effectively. Sam believes in backing our officers, respecting the rule of law, and ensuring that public safety remains a top priority across the North Country.
Lower Energy Costs
High energy prices hit North Country families and businesses harder than anywhere else in the state. Sam will fight to remove government barriers that drive up electricity and heating costs, support policies that expand affordable energy options, and oppose mandates that force expensive and unreliable energy on New Hampshire ratepayers. Affordable energy means lower bills, more competitive businesses, and a stronger Coos County economy.

A thriving North Country economy starts with government that supports — not strangles — local businesses. Sam will fight to cut red tape, reduce regulations that burden small business owners, and create a climate where entrepreneurs can invest, hire, and grow right here in Coos County. When local businesses succeed, the whole community benefits.
Lower Healthcare Costs
Too many Coos County families are being priced out of the care they need. Sam will fight to increase competition and transparency in healthcare pricing, cut red tape that drives up costs for local providers, and oppose mandates that make insurance and care more expensive for North Country families and small businesses.
Great Schools
Every child in the North Country deserves a great education. Sam will fight to keep decisions about our kids' education local, support our teachers and schools, and push back against unfunded state mandates that drive up costs for local districts and property taxpayers. Sam believes parents should have a say in their children's education and will work to expand options and opportunities for families.
Enforce Immigration Laws
Sam believes in the rule of law, including our nation's immigration laws. He supports law enforcement's efforts to enforce existing immigration laws and will push back against policies that turn New Hampshire into a sanctuary state. Sam believes a secure border and consistent enforcement are essential to protecting the safety and resources of Coos County communities.
Lower Childcare Costs
Childcare costs are squeezing North Country families and making it harder for parents to work. Sam will fight to cut red tape and unnecessary regulations that drive up the cost of childcare, support policies that expand access to affordable options, and push back against state mandates that make it harder for Coos County families and providers to make ends meet.
Support Veterans
Sam believes New Hampshire owes a debt of gratitude to the men and women who served our country. He will fight to ensure veterans in Coos County have access to the benefits, healthcare, and resources they've earned, and will push for policies that honor their service and support them and their families in the North Country.
Defend the Guard
Sam believes the decision to send New Hampshire's National Guard into combat operations abroad should never be made unilaterally by the federal government without a formal declaration of war from Congress. He supports Defend the Guard legislation to protect our Guard members from being deployed into unconstitutional conflicts and to keep that decision where it belongs — with the people's elected representatives.
Protect the Environment
The North Country's forests, rivers, and mountains are part of what makes this place home. Sam believes in commonsense conservation that protects our natural resources for future generations while respecting the rights of landowners and local communities.
Medical Freedom
Sam believes every individual has the right to make their own healthcare decisions without government mandates or coercion. He will fight against any attempt to force medical procedures or treatments on Coos County families and will stand up for the right of patients and doctors to make decisions together, free from unnecessary interference. Sam supports deregulation that removes barriers to care and expands access to alternative health treatments, giving families more options and greater control over their own health decisions.
